【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofgaschromatographytodeterminetheamountofgasolineinusedlubricatingoilsarisingfromtheiruseingasolineengines.Thereisnolimitationforthedeterminationofthedilutionrange,providedthattheamountofsampleplusinternalstandardiswithinthelinearrangeofthegaschromatographdetector.Thistestmethodislimitedtogaschromatographsequippedwithflameionizationdetectorsandprogrammableovens.Note1-Theuseofotherdetectorsandinstrumentationhasbeenreported.However,theprecisionstatementappliesonlywhentheinstrumentationspecifiedisemployed.Theapplicabilityofthismethodtogelledusedengineoilshasnotbeenadequatelyinvestigatedinordertoensurecompliancewiththeindicatedrepeatabilityandreproducibility.Gelledoilsaredefinedasoilsthatdevelopstructureonstanding,butthatreturntotheiroriginalfluiditywithlightagitation.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
